  • Ribosomes: The Key Organelles for High Protein Production
The organelle most prominent in cells that make large amounts of protein is the ribosome.

    Here's why:

    * Ribosomes are the protein synthesis factories of the cell. They read the genetic code from messenger RNA (mRNA) and use it to assemble amino acids into proteins.

    * Cells that produce large amounts of protein require many ribosomes to keep up with the demand.

    * These ribosomes are often found in clusters called polyribosomes, which further increase the efficiency of protein production.

While other organelles like the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and Golgi apparatus also play roles in protein processing and transport, it's the ribosomes that are directly responsible for the initial synthesis.
