  • Tropical Rainforest: Home to Half the World's Biodiversity
    The biome that contains one-half of all plants and animals on Earth is the tropical rainforest.

    While other biomes are also incredibly diverse, the tropical rainforest's unique conditions, including:

    * High rainfall

    * Warm temperatures

    * Year-round growing season

    * Abundant sunlight

    have allowed for an incredible amount of biodiversity to flourish. This includes a vast array of plant species, insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals, making it one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet.
