  • Parenchyma Cells: The Building Blocks of Palisade Tissue in Leaves
    Palisade tissue is formed by parenchyma cells.

    These cells are elongated and tightly packed, forming a columnar layer just below the upper epidermis of leaves. They are responsible for most of the photosynthesis in the leaf due to their high concentration of chloroplasts.
