  • Plant Reproduction: Understanding Sperm and Egg Cells
The two reproductive cells in a plant are the sperm and the egg.

    * Sperm is produced in the pollen grains located in the anther of the flower.

    * Egg is produced in the ovule located within the ovary of the flower.

The union of these two cells during fertilization creates a zygote, which eventually develops into a new plant embryo.
