  • Double-Membraned Organelles: Nucleus, Mitochondria & Chloroplasts
The following organelles have a double membrane:

    * Nucleus: The nucleus is the control center of the cell and houses the genetic material (DNA). It has an outer membrane and an inner membrane separated by the perinuclear space.

    * Mitochondria: These are the powerhouses of the cell, responsible for ATP production through cellular respiration. They have an outer membrane and an inner membrane folded into cristae, which increase surface area for energy production.

    * Chloroplasts (in plant cells): These organelles are responsible for photosynthesis, converting light energy into chemical energy. They have an outer membrane and an inner membrane, with thylakoids (stacks of flattened sacs) and stroma (fluid-filled region) within.

Let me know if you'd like more details about any of these organelles!
