Microeconomists are not scientists who study tiny organisms. Instead, they are economists who focus on the behavior of individual economic units, like:
* Individuals: How do people make decisions about spending, saving, and work?
* Firms: How do businesses choose what to produce, how much to produce, and at what price?
* Markets: How do supply and demand interact to determine prices and quantities in specific markets?
Microeconomics deals with questions like:
* Why are gas prices higher in some cities than others?
* How does a minimum wage law affect employment?
* What happens to the price of a product when a new competitor enters the market?
Microbiology, on the other hand, is the field of science that studies microscopic organisms like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa.
So, while both fields involve "micro" in their names, they focus on very different aspects of the world!
