  • Centrioles: Unique Organelles Found in Animal Cells
One organelle found in an animal cell but not plant cells is the centriole.

Centrioles play a crucial role in cell division by helping to organize microtubules that form the spindle fibers, which separate chromosomes during mitosis and meiosis. Plant cells have a different mechanism for organizing microtubules and do not need centrioles.
