  • Matthias Schleiden: Pioneer of Cell Theory in Botany
The scientist who concluded that all plants are composed of cells was Matthias Schleiden.

He was a German botanist who, in 1838, published his findings that all plants are made up of cells. This was a crucial step in the development of cell theory.

While Schleiden's research focused on plants, his work, along with that of Theodor Schwann (who studied animal cells), ultimately led to the foundational understanding that all living organisms are made up of cells.
