  • Plant vs. Animal Cells: Key Differences Explained
Here are two key features that differentiate plant cells from animal cells:

    1. Cell Wall: Plant cells have a rigid cell wall made of cellulose that surrounds the cell membrane. This wall provides structural support, protection, and helps maintain the cell's shape. Animal cells lack this rigid cell wall.

    2. Chloroplasts: Plant cells contain chloroplasts, organelles responsible for photosynthesis. Chloroplasts contain chlorophyll, the green pigment that absorbs light energy and converts it into chemical energy in the form of glucose. Animal cells do not have chloroplasts and cannot perform photosynthesis.
