  • Proteins: The Biological Molecules with Peptide Bonds
The class of biological molecules that contains peptide bonds between the individual monomers is proteins.

    Here's why:

    * Monomers of proteins are amino acids.

    * Peptide bonds are formed between the amino group (-NH2) of one amino acid and the carboxyl group (-COOH) of another amino acid. This bond links the amino acids together to form a chain, known as a polypeptide.

    * Proteins are made up of one or more polypeptide chains.
