  • Understanding DNA Bases: What Do A, T, C, and G Mean?
    Each letter on a DNA strand represents a nucleotide base.

    There are four nucleotide bases in DNA:

    * A - Adenine

    * T - Thymine

    * C - Cytosine

    * G - Guanine

    These bases pair up in a specific way:

    * A always pairs with T

    * C always pairs with G

    The sequence of these bases forms the genetic code that determines the characteristics of an organism.
