  • Ascaris Parasite: Digestive & Reproductive System Overview
The two body systems most visible in Ascaris are the digestive system and the reproductive system.

    * Digestive System: Ascaris has a complete digestive system that runs the length of its body. This is easily visible due to the distinct tube-like structure, from the mouth to the anus, which is prominent even without dissection.

    * Reproductive System: Ascaris are dioecious (meaning they have separate sexes). The male and female reproductive systems are very distinct and easily identifiable. The female reproductive system is especially prominent, appearing as a coiled tube filled with eggs.

While other systems, like the muscular system, are present, they are not as easily identifiable without specialized tools and dissection.
