    Exempt Human Specimen:

    An exempt human specimen means:

    * A deceased individual whose remains are available for autopsy after natural or accidental death for purposes of:

    * Advancement of medical science.

    - Education.

    - Public health.

    * Any specimen removed from a living individual solely for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes when such specimen remains under his own jurisdiction; or

    * Specimens of human origin created or derived from a biospecimen in a laboratory setting.
