Scientists at Tokyo Institute of Technology use a supercomputer to understand the three-dimensional structure and dynamic behavior of RNA polymerase II, the enzyme pivotal for the transcription in human cells. The simulation revealed that RNA poII tightly regulates the size of the RNA exit channel and the surrounding protein module for robustly synthesizing RNA.
