  • Megalodon Diet: What Did the Largest Shark Ever Eat?
The Megalodon was an extinct species of mackerel shark that lived approximately 23 million to 2.6 million years ago. They were the largest sharks that ever lived, reaching up to 59 feet in length and weighing up to 100 tons. Megalodons were apex predators and fed on a wide variety of prey, including whales, seals, sea lions, and other marine mammals, as well as large fish and sea turtles. Additionally, Megalodons were known to attack and kill other predators such as killer whales and great white sharks.
