  • Mileva Marić & Albert Einstein: Their Early Meeting & Relationship
Mileva Marić and Albert Einstein met in 1896 at the Swiss Federal Polytechnic in Zurich, where they were both studying physics.

They were classmates and quickly formed a strong bond, both intellectually and romantically. They spent a lot of time together, studying, discussing physics, and even playing music.

Their paths crossed when Mileva, as a woman, had to seek permission to attend lectures in the men's-only physics class. Albert, having heard about her brilliance, helped her get the necessary permission, marking the beginning of their complex and enduring relationship.
