  • Stars of the Southern Cross Constellation: A Guide
    The Southern Cross constellation is made up of five main stars:

    * Alpha Crucis (Acrux): The brightest star in the constellation, a blue-white giant star.

    * Beta Crucis (Mimosa): A blue-white supergiant star.

    * Gamma Crucis (Gacrux): A red giant star.

    * Delta Crucis: A blue-white dwarf star.

    * Epsilon Crucis: A white dwarf star.

    There are also several fainter stars in the constellation, but these five are the most prominent and easily recognizable.
