    90% of the stars in the Milky Way galaxy, including our Sun, are red dwarfs.

    Red dwarfs are the smallest and coolest type of main sequence star. They are much smaller and less massive than our Sun, and they burn their hydrogen fuel much more slowly. This means they have much longer lifespans than larger stars.
