There was no Apollo II mission. The Apollo program only had missions numbered Apollo 1 through Apollo 17.

It's possible you're thinking of Apollo 1, which was a tragic accident during a pre-launch test. The crew was:

* Virgil "Gus" Grissom

* Ed White

* Roger Chaffee

They sadly perished in a fire during a simulated launch test.
