  • Planetary Orbits: Which Planets Have the Most Elliptical Paths?
The two planets with the most elliptical orbits in our solar system are:

    * Mercury: Mercury's orbit is highly eccentric, meaning it's very elongated. Its eccentricity is 0.206, which is the highest of all the planets.

    * Mars: Mars has the second most elliptical orbit with an eccentricity of 0.093.

While the other planets have more circular orbits, these two have a significantly noticeable difference between their closest and farthest points from the sun.
