  • Planets and Stars: Understanding Planetary Orbits & Star Systems
This is a bit of a tricky question! Here's why:

    * Planets orbit stars: Planets don't *have* stars, they orbit around them. Think of it like the Earth orbiting the Sun.

    * Different solar systems: Each star system can have a different number of planets. Some stars have no planets, while others have dozens. Our own solar system has eight planets.

    * Exoplanets: We're constantly discovering more planets orbiting stars outside our solar system (called exoplanets).

So, there's no single answer to how many stars every planet has. Every planet orbits around one or more stars.
