  • Largest Stars in the Universe: Compared to Our Sun
There are many stars much larger than our Sun! It depends on what you mean by "much larger." Here are a few examples:

    * Betelgeuse: This red supergiant is about 1,000 times the diameter of the Sun. It's so large that if it were placed where the Sun is, it would engulf Earth, Mars, and even Jupiter.

    * UY Scuti: This hypergiant is considered to be the largest known star. It's about 1,700 times the diameter of the Sun.

    * VY Canis Majoris: Another massive star, VY Canis Majoris is estimated to be around 1,800 times the diameter of the Sun.

These are just a few examples. There are countless other stars much larger than our Sun, some even larger than these.
