  • Sunlight Composition: Understanding the Visible Light Spectrum
The Sun emits light across the entire electromagnetic spectrum, but the peak of its emission falls in the visible light range, specifically in the yellow-green portion of the spectrum.

This is why we perceive the Sun as white or yellowish-white. However, the Sun also emits significant amounts of infrared and ultraviolet radiation, which are invisible to the human eye.
