  • Vernal Equinox Constellation Shift: When Will It Be in Aquarius?
The vernal equinox is currently in the constellation Pisces. It will move into the constellation Aquarius in approximately 2600 years.

This shift is due to a phenomenon called precession. The Earth's axis of rotation slowly wobbles like a spinning top, causing the position of the equinoxes to drift westward along the ecliptic.

While the shift is gradual, it will eventually lead to the vernal equinox being located in Aquarius, and then continue its journey through the constellations.
