  • Sun Size: How Does Our Star Compare to Others in the Universe?
    The sun is smaller than many other stars.

    While it's the biggest object in our solar system, there are countless stars in the universe much larger than our sun. Some stars are thousands of times larger!

    Here's a simplified way to think about it:

    * The Sun is a medium-sized star.

    * There are many smaller stars (called red dwarfs) that are much smaller than our sun.

    * There are many larger stars (like red giants and supergiants) that are much bigger than our sun.

    So, while our sun is huge to us, it's just one of many stars in the vast universe!
