  • Exoplanets and Galactic Systems: Do Other Galaxies Have Solar Systems?
    It's highly likely! Here's why:

    * Stars are everywhere: Galaxies are vast collections of stars. Our own Milky Way galaxy contains billions of stars, and there are billions of galaxies in the observable universe.

    * Stars form planets: We know that stars form from collapsing clouds of gas and dust. The process of star formation often leads to the creation of planets around those stars.

    * Exoplanets galore: We've already discovered thousands of planets orbiting stars outside our solar system (called exoplanets). We're constantly finding more, and they come in all shapes and sizes.

So, it's extremely probable that other galaxies contain solar systems. In fact, it's likely that they contain far more solar systems than our own Milky Way!

It's just incredibly difficult to detect exoplanets in other galaxies due to their immense distances. We can only study them in detail within our own galaxy.
