  • Why No Rovers on Jupiter? Exploring the Gas Giant's Challenges
There have never been any rovers on Jupiter.

    Here's why:

    * Jupiter is a gas giant: It doesn't have a solid surface like Earth or Mars, so there's nowhere for a rover to land or drive on.

    * Extreme environment: Jupiter's atmosphere is incredibly hostile, with crushing pressures, intense radiation, and extreme temperatures. No current technology could withstand these conditions.

While rovers are not feasible on Jupiter, we have sent spacecraft to orbit the planet and study its atmosphere, moons, and magnetic field. The most famous example is the Juno mission, which is currently orbiting Jupiter and providing us with valuable data.
