  • Moon Phases: Identifying the Phase When It Rises at Sunset
If the moon rises at sunset, it's in the Full Moon phase.

    Here's why:

    * Full Moon: The full moon is directly opposite the sun in the sky. This means it rises as the sun sets and sets as the sun rises.

    * Other Phases: The moon's rising and setting times shift depending on its phase. For example, a waxing crescent moon will rise in the early morning hours, while a waning crescent moon will rise in the late evening.
