  • Moons of Outer Planets: What We Know & What's Still Unknown
No, astronomers have not found all of the moons of outer planets.

    Here's why:

    * Outer planets are vast: The outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune) are gigantic, with immense gravity. They are capable of capturing and holding onto many smaller bodies, including moons.

    * New discoveries happen all the time: With improved telescopes and technology, we are constantly discovering new moons around these planets. Some are quite small and faint, making them hard to find.

    * Some moons are still hidden: It is possible that there are still undiscovered moons, especially smaller ones or those with orbits that make them difficult to detect.

While we have discovered a large number of moons around the outer planets, the search continues. Every new discovery helps us understand the formation and evolution of these planetary systems.
