  • Hubble Space Telescope: A US-European Collaboration - Who Built It?
The Hubble Space Telescope was a joint project between the United States and Europe.

    * The United States provided the main funding and the primary contractor for the telescope, which was NASA.

    * Europe contributed significant components, such as the solar arrays and the Faint Object Camera, as well as scientific support.

So, while the Hubble Telescope is considered a product of American engineering and technology, it wouldn't have been possible without the significant contributions from Europe.
