1. Photosphere: This is the visible surface of the Sun, the layer we see from Earth. It's the deepest layer of the Sun's atmosphere where light is emitted and it's where we see sunspots, granules, and faculae.
2. Chromosphere: This is a thin layer above the photosphere. It's characterized by a reddish glow and is only visible during eclipses or with special instruments. The chromosphere is where spicules, jets of hot gas, rise up from the photosphere.
While there are other layers in the Sun's atmosphere, like the corona, these two are the most important and visible features.
