    The sun doesn't have "rays" in the way we typically think of them. Here's why:

    * Light Travels in Straight Lines: Sunlight travels in straight lines from the sun to Earth as electromagnetic radiation. We perceive these as rays, but they aren't physical objects like the spokes of a wheel.

    * Visual Effect: What we see as rays are often caused by dust particles or water droplets in the atmosphere scattering sunlight, creating the illusion of beams.

    So, the sun doesn't have a specific number of rays. It emits light in all directions.
