We are not located in a star cluster. Star clusters are gravitationally bound groups of stars that formed from the same giant molecular cloud.

Our Sun is located in the Milky Way galaxy, a spiral galaxy with a diameter of about 100,000 light-years. The Sun is situated in one of the galaxy's spiral arms, called the Orion Arm.
