  • Jupiter's Storms: Exploring the Great Red Spot and Jovian Weather
There's no such thing as a "hurricane" on Jupiter. Jupiter is a gas giant, and the storms on its surface are vastly different than the hurricanes we see on Earth.

The most famous feature on Jupiter is the Great Red Spot, which is a gigantic storm that has been raging for centuries. It's roughly 10,000 miles wide, which is larger than Earth's diameter.

Jupiter has many other storms, some as big as the Great Red Spot, but they come and go more frequently.

Instead of using the term "hurricane", it's more accurate to refer to these storms as anti-cyclones or storms.
