  • Understanding the Full Moon: Why It's Not Visible Every Night
We don't see a full moon every night! It's a common misconception.

    Here's why:

    * The Moon's phases: The Moon's phases are caused by the changing angles at which we see the sunlit portion of the Moon as it orbits Earth.

    * Lunar cycle: It takes approximately 29.5 days for the Moon to complete a full cycle of phases, from New Moon to Full Moon and back again.

    * Full Moon: A full moon occurs when the entire sunlit portion of the Moon faces Earth. This happens only once during each lunar cycle.

Therefore, we only see a full moon once a month.
