Here's why:
* Orbital Speed: The Moon orbits Earth much faster than any planet orbits the Sun. The Moon completes a full orbit in about 27.3 days, while planets take much longer, from a year for Earth to hundreds of years for outer planets.
* Apparent Motion: Because of its closer proximity to Earth and faster orbital speed, the Moon's apparent movement across the sky is much more noticeable over short periods.
You can even observe this yourself. Look at the Moon's position in the sky tonight, and then check it again tomorrow night. You'll see a significant shift in its location. Planets, on the other hand, appear to move much more slowly, taking weeks or months to make noticeable changes in their position.
