    Telescopes:

    Other Instruments:

    * Spectrometers: These instruments break down light into its constituent wavelengths, allowing scientists to analyze the composition of planetary atmospheres.

    * Photometers: These instruments measure the brightness of objects, allowing scientists to track changes in planetary brightness over time.

    * Doppler Radars: These instruments use the Doppler effect to measure the speed of planets, which can be used to determine their orbital parameters.

    * Spacecraft: By sending spacecraft to other planets, scientists can collect data about their surfaces, atmospheres, and magnetic fields. Examples include the Mars rovers, the Cassini spacecraft, and the Juno spacecraft.

    The specific instruments used to observe a particular planet will depend on the type of data that scientists are trying to collect. For example, to study the atmosphere of Jupiter, scientists might use infrared and radio telescopes. To study the surface of Mars, they might use optical telescopes and spacecraft equipped with cameras and spectrometers.
