  • Planetary Orbits: Why No Planet Always Faces the Sun
    There is no planet in our solar system that orbits the Sun on one side. All planets in our solar system orbit the Sun in a roughly elliptical path, meaning they come closer and farther away from the Sun during their orbit.

    It's important to note that some planets are tidally locked to their stars. This means that one side of the planet always faces the star. However, this does not mean the planet orbits the star on one side.

    For example, our Moon is tidally locked to Earth, meaning we always see the same side of the Moon. But the Moon still orbits the Earth in a full circle.
