VY Canis Majoris is a red hypergiant star with a radius estimated to be 1,420 times that of the Sun. It is one of the largest known stars in the Milky Way galaxy.
VV Cephei A is also a red supergiant, but it is significantly smaller than VY Canis Majoris. Its radius is estimated to be 1,600 times that of the Sun.
Therefore, although both stars are massive and extremely large, VY Canis Majoris is the larger of the two.
