Milky Way Galaxy: Discover Its Place in the Local Group
The Milky Way Galaxy is a member of the Local Group.
The Local Group is a collection of about 50 galaxies, including our own Milky Way, the Andromeda Galaxy (M31), and the Triangulum Galaxy (M33). It's a relatively small group of galaxies compared to larger galaxy clusters.
