  • Big Dipper's Nightly Movement: How Long Until It Returns?
    The night sky appears to rotate due to the Earth's rotation on its axis. The entire night sky, including the Big Dipper, completes a full rotation in approximately 24 hours. Therefore, it takes 24 hours for the Big Dipper to return to the same position in the sky that it was the previous night.
