This could be detected by LIGO as a change in the polarization of gravitational waves from different sources.

    * The energy of gravitational waves: If gravitational waves are leaking into extra dimensions, then only a small fraction of their energy may be reaching us. This could explain why some of the gravitational waves that have been detected by LIGO are much weaker than expected.

    The detection of gravitational waves has opened up a new window on the universe, and it is possible that these waves could provide us with valuable information about the existence of extra dimensions.
