Refracting Telescopes
Refracting telescopes were the first type of telescope to be invented. They work by using two lenses: an objective lens and an eyepiece. The objective lens is the large lens at the front of the telescope. It collects light from the distant object and brings it to a focus. The eyepiece is the small lens at the back of the telescope.
