    1. Initial Singularity: The theory proposes that the universe started about 13.8 billion years ago as an infinitely hot and dense point called a singularity.

    2. Rapid Expansion: The singularity underwent an incredibly rapid expansion known as the Big Bang, causing the universe to inflate at an unimaginable speed.

    3. Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB): As the universe expanded and cooled, the hot, dense matter emitted electromagnetic radiation that eventually became the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). Today, the CMB is detectable as faint microwave radiation across the entire sky.

    4. Formation of Matter: During the early stages of the universe's expansion, subatomic particles like protons, neutrons, and electrons were formed. These particles then combined to create atoms, particularly hydrogen and helium.

    5. Galaxy Formation: The early universe was filled with clouds of hydrogen and helium gas. These clouds collapsed under the influence of gravity, leading to the formation of stars and galaxies. Over time, larger galaxies formed through the merging of smaller ones.

    6. Dark Energy and Dark Matter: As the universe expanded, observations showed that the expansion rate was accelerating. To explain this, the concept of dark energy was introduced, which is an unknown form of energy that counteracts gravity and causes the universe to expand at an increasing rate. Dark matter, another poorly understood entity, is hypothesized to make up around 27% of the universe and plays a crucial role in galaxy formation and behavior.

    7. Cosmic Evolution: Over billions of years, galaxies evolved and changed due to star formation, mergers, and other processes. Heavy elements were created inside stars through nuclear fusion and then dispersed into the universe when the stars reached the end of their lifespan.

    8. Ongoing Expansion: The universe is still expanding and will likely continue to do so indefinitely, with the galaxies and structures within it moving farther and farther apart.
