  • Facebook Introduces Enhanced Camera Features: A Snapchat Rival?
Facebook is rolling out new camera features that will allow users to add music, stickers, and effects to their photos and videos, in a move that takes aim at Snapchat.

The social networking giant is adding a new "Camera" tab to its mobile app, which will house all of its camera-related features. The tab will include a new "Stories" feature, which will allow users to share photos and videos with their friends that disappear after 24 hours.

Facebook is also adding a new "World Effects" platform, which will allow developers to create augmented reality effects that can be added to photos and videos. These effects could include anything from adding virtual objects to the scene to changing the background.

The new camera features are currently being rolled out to Facebook users in the US and Canada, and will be available to all users worldwide in the coming months.

Facebook's move into the Snapchat-like camera features is not surprising, as the social networking giant has been looking for ways to attract younger users. Snapchat has been particularly popular with younger users, and Facebook is likely hoping to win back some of those users with its new camera features.

It remains to be seen whether Facebook's new camera features will be enough to attract younger users back to the platform, but it is clear that Facebook is not giving up on its fight for younger users.
