    5. The operation is performed.

    6. The next instruction is fetched from memory.

    7. The process repeats.

    The speed of a microprocessor is determined by its clock speed, which is measured in megahertz (MHz) or gigahertz (GHz). The clock speed determines how many instructions the microprocessor can execute per second.

    Microprocessors are used in a wide variety of devices, including personal computers, laptops, smartphones, digital cameras, and game consoles. They are also used in industrial applications, such as factory automation and robotics.
