  • Removing Super Glue from Metal: Effective Methods & Precautions
There are a few different ways to remove crazy glue from metal, depending on the surface.

    For smooth metal surfaces:

    * Use a solvent like rubbing alcohol or acetone. Apply the solvent to a cotton ball or cloth and rub it over the glue until it starts to dissolve. Be careful not to rub too hard, as this could damage the metal.

    * Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the glue. Once the glue is heated, it will become softer and easier to remove. You can then scrape it off with a putty knife or credit card.

    * Use a commercial glue remover. There are a number of different glue removers available on the market that are specifically designed to remove crazy glue. Follow the directions on the product label for best results.

    For porous metal surfaces:

    * Use a baking soda paste. Mix baking soda with water to form a paste. Apply the paste to the glue and let it sit for several hours. The baking soda will absorb the glue and make it easier to remove.

    * Use a vinegar and baking soda solution. Mix equal parts vinegar and baking soda. Apply the solution to the glue and let it sit for several hours. The vinegar and baking soda will react to form a gas that will help to break down the glue.

    * Use a commercial rust remover. There are a number of different rust removers available on the market that can also be used to remove crazy glue. Follow the directions on the product label for best results.

Important: Before using any of the above methods, test a small area of the metal to make sure that it does not damage the surface.
