    There are a few groups of people who may be concerned about quantum computing:

    * National security and intelligence agencies: Quantum computers could potentially be used to break current encryption methods, potentially compromising sensitive information like military secrets and diplomatic cables. This could put national security at risk.

    * Financial institutions: Quantum computers could also be used to crack the encryption used to protect financial transactions, making it easier for hackers to steal money or commit fraud. This could significantly impact the global economy.

    * Pharmaceutical and chemical companies: Quantum computers could be used to discover new drugs and materials more quickly and efficiently, potentially disrupting the existing industries. This could cause financial losses and job cuts.

    * Government agencies responsible for critical infrastructure: As mentioned before, encryption systems based on traditional public-key cryptography would probably fall under the computational power of a large-scale quantum computer. Therefore, quantum computing technology poses substantial and imminent threats to various government networks and sensitive data across all types of sectors, including but not limited to energy, communication, transportation, banking, manufacturing, health and public protection.
