  • Understanding Supermoons: What to Expect in 2023
    The term "supermoon" is used to describe a full moon or new moon that occurs when the moon is at its closest point in its orbit around Earth. This happens about once a month, and it can make the moon appear up to 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual.

    While supermoons are certainly a sight to behold, they're not actually all that rare. In fact, there will be four supermoons in 2023:

    * April 22

    * May 26

    * June 24

    * July 23

    So, if you're hoping to catch a glimpse of a supermoon, you won't have to wait long. Just be sure to look up at the sky on the right night!
