  • Solar Energy Output: Understanding the Sun's Power
    The Sun emits a truly mind-boggling amount of energy:

    3.846 × 1026 watts

    To put that into perspective:

    * That's about 384,600,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 watts!

    * The Earth receives only about 1.74 × 1017 watts of that energy.

    * If you could harness all the Sun's energy for one second, it would be enough to power the entire Earth for about 100,000 years!

    This immense energy output comes from nuclear fusion happening at the Sun's core, where hydrogen atoms are converted into helium, releasing massive amounts of energy in the process.
